Valve stem oil seal removal

1. Remove camshaft and hydraulic tappet and store them face down. Pay attention to that tappets are not interchangeable during operation. Remove the spark plug with a spark plug wrench, adjust the piston of the corresponding cylinder to the TDC, and screw the pressure hose into the threaded hole of the spark plug.

2. Install the spring compression tool onto the cylinder head with bolts. Adjust the relevant valve to the correct position, and then connect the pressure hose to the air compressor (the air pressure is at least 600kpa). Use threaded mandrel and thrust piece to lower the valve spring and remove the spring.

Tap the valve spring seat gently to remove the valve lock block and pull out the valve stem oil seal with a tool.

Installation of valve stem oil seal

1. Put the plastic sleeve on the valve stem to prevent the new valve stem oil seal from being damaged.

2. Apply a layer of oil to the oil seal lip.

3. Seal the oil onto the tool, and then slowly push it onto the valve guide.

1. Apply a layer of engine oil on the valve stem before installing the intake and exhaust valves.

2. The replacement process of valve oil seal is strict, the valve chamber and cylinder head need to be removed, and the work is very complicated. When installing the timing belt, the camshaft must be placed at the 0-notch, and the crankshaft should be aligned with the TDC.
